  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced into thin wedges

Instructions
 

  • In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the cleaned shrimp with the minced garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, lime juice, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Gently toss the mixture until the shrimp are fully coated with the marinade. Allow the shrimp to marinate for approximately 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  • While the shrimp is marinating, heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Once heated, carefully place the marinated shrimp in a single layer within the skillet. Sauté the shrimp for approximately 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they become pink and opaque. Once cooked, remove the skillet from the heat.
  • During the shrimp cooking time, warm the corn tortillas. You can either use a dry skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or place them in a microwave for about 10-15 seconds until they are soft and pliable.
  • To assemble the tacos, take one warmed tortilla and place a few shrimp in the center. Top each taco with slices of creamy avocado, a generous pile of shredded red cabbage for crunch, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro for added flavor and freshness.
  • Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side, allowing everyone to squeeze fresh lime juice over their tacos for an added zesty kick.

Notes

Arrange the assembled tacos on a large, colorful platter. Garnish with lime wedges, and scatter fresh cilantro across the top for a burst of color. Consider adding a small bowl of salsa or hot sauce on the side for an extra flavor boost!
