0.5teaspoonground cinnamon (optional, for added warmth)
0.25cupchopped walnuts or pecans (optional, for crunch)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper to ensure easy removal after baking.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the well-mashed bananas and melted butter. Stir with a fork or whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Add the granulated sugar to the banana mixture, followed by the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is homogenous.
In another bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour. If using, add the ground cinnamon and chopped nuts to the dry ingredients for an extra layer of flavor and texture.
Gently fold the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients using a spatula or wooden spoon. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix; the batter should remain slightly lumpy for a tender texture.
Carefully fold in the fresh blueberries, ensuring they are evenly spread throughout the batter without crushing them.
Pour the prepared batter into the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula for an even rise.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean with a few moist crumbs attached.
Once baked, allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Then, gently transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing into warm, delightful pieces.
Notes
Serve warm with butter or honey for extra sweetness.
