In a large mixing bowl, place the softened cream cheese along with the canned pumpkin puree. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy with no lumps remaining.
Gradually incorporate the sifted powdered sugar into the cream cheese and pumpkin mixture, mixing until well combined and smooth.
Add the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground ginger to the bowl. Stir until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
