In a small saucepan set over medium heat, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and grated ginger. Stir well and allow to simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Preheat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and let it heat for a moment.
Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and freshly cracked pepper on both sides.
Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets in the hot skillet, skin side down. Sear for about 4-5 minutes, until the skin is crispy and the salmon flakes easily.
Gently flip the fillets over and pour half of the prepared honey garlic sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the remaining honey garlic sauce over the glazed salmon fillets.
Transfer the honey-garlic glazed salmon to a serving platter. Garnish with sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions.
